Founded in 1904, we’re the oldest lumberyard in Oregon.
City Lumber started in 1904 as City Lumber and Box Company by Astoria Box Co., Clatsop Mill Co. and Tongue Point Lumber Co. as a way of selling and distributing lumber and boxes to Astoria's fishing industry. Later the company was called City Lumber and Coal, and until 1956 City Lumber and Supply. Since 1956 we've been incorporated as City Lumber Company.
Lumberyard
Lumber is in our name, and we carry lumber, lots of it. We stock Green Douglas Fir dimensional lumber; Clear Fir, Cedar and Oak finish lumber; Timbertech Composite Decking; Pressure Treated Lumber and Outdoor Decking lumber.
Lighting Department
We've got the largest lighting showroom on the Oregon and Washington coasts. From floor and table lamps to pendants and chandeliers to outdoor fixtures, you can find just the light you want at City Lumber. We carry lights from a large variety of manufacturers ... Quoizel, Kichler, Murray Feiss, Minka Group to name just a few.
